The Conservative Patrons’ Club was formed in 1996 to provide a special forum for Party supporters to meet, and network with, like-minded Conservatives and key Party figures at least twice a year.
The Club is limited to approximately 100 Patrons, who include an interesting array of entrepreneurs, businessmen and women, landowners, politicians and Party members.
In return for their subscription, Patrons are invited to two complimentary events: A reception, usually in London, at a Private Members’ Club or similarly exclusive venue.
A reception, usually in the constituency, at an interesting location. These have included Arundel Castle, Nyetimber Vineyard, St Mary’s House and a number of private homes.
Our Member of Parliament attends both events and ensures key figures from within the Party also attends. These have included Kenneth Clarke, David Davis, Phillip Hammond, Liam Fox, William Hague, Michael Howard, Jeremy Hunt, Sir John Major, Theresa May, John Redwood, Lord Tebbit, Michael Fallon and many others.
If numbers allow, Patrons may bring a guest who will be charged according to the type of event.
Membership of the Patrons’ Club can be a way for those who want to support the Party to do so, without becoming actively involved in local organisational matters – although many Patrons continue actively to support their local branch.
The Patrons’ Club enables Arundel & South Downs Conservative Association to contribute funds to the Party centrally for use in support of target seats.
